About

I am a systems architect, engineering leader, and builder with 15+ years of experience spanning infrastructure, security, compliance, product, and AI. I hold a BS in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut and a BA in Global Legal Studies from Arcadia University, with study at the University of Oxford in EU Law and Economics. The two disciplines reinforce each other: computer science provides the depth to build complex systems, and legal studies provide a structured framework for reasoning about risk, regulation, and governance.

I have led teams and shipped systems at companies ranging from startups to scale-ups. I am currently a Senior Principal Systems Architect at Cytracom and run Cygnus Strategy, a boutique consultancy that pairs hands-on technical expertise with leadership development. The throughline of my career is building things that last, wherever the most complex problem is, and creating whatever the situation requires to the highest standard.

The Approach

I take extreme ownership. I hold myself and my teams to high standards, not because I expect perfection, but because I believe the people depending on our work deserve our best effort. I am on a crusade against the pathologically incurious.

I do not chase titles or trends; I focus on getting the job done, making it better than I found it, and helping people grow along the way. If you want someone who will tell you the truth, roll up their sleeves, and stand with you when things get tough, you are in the right place.

Outside of Work

I am a devoted father to two sons. I am a conservationist, lifelong angler, and patriot. I was inspired by science fiction to reach for the stars. Technology should expand what is possible for ordinary people. In my free time, I build quiet software and cyber-physical systems: cyberdecks, microcontroller projects, mesh networking nodes, and radio hardware.
